YOU ARE MY SUNFLOWER

Published on: April 30, 2022 | Category: Poetry | Author: DECHOSEN1 | Likes: 1| Views: 94

Can I come and see her? I don't think so...

She is in a garden blooming with beautiful flowers,

She stood out among other flowers with her beauty,

A book in hand, her flowers in combat with the sun.

Her braids, are those extensions? Nah!

I glued my eyes to her natural glow and grace,

Her striped gown has moon dust on its helms,

With twinkles of stars in her eyes, I leaped into love.

Does the sky paint herself with her hues? Yeah!

The sunniest amongst all blossoms in our garden,

We will water your flower jar swirling with sunflowers,

You are the sun in my sky, you are my sunflower also.

I DO NOT SEE MYSELF ANYMORE.

Published on: April 30, 2022 | Category: Poetry | Author: DECHOSEN1 | Likes: 1| Views: 141

I stare long & hard into the sea,

I do not see my reflection bubbling up;

As the sea used to ripple through my tender heart,

It doesn't anymore but stares back at me in dismay.

Rocks are floating all around me,

I do not know whether to wade myself through,

My webbed feet are planted on the floor of the ocean,

It doesn't matter anymore if I sail through the pebbles.

I do not see myself in the mirror again,

The mirror dazzling with delightful diamonds,

I do not see myself in the reflection of the waters;

The freedom I felt faded away between my fingers.

The liberty in-depth the tides of the sea,

Is lost within the storms flickering in my sights,

I want to gaze at myself once more, true and worthy,

I do not want the waves to wash away all my wishes.

ALL SHADES OF BROWN

Published on: April 30, 2022 | Category: Poetry | Author: DECHOSEN1 | Likes: 1| Views: 192

1.

Chocolate, milky, butter-brown even dark coffee,

All shades and shapes are bright and beautiful,

The night is as beautiful as the day without stars,

The day is as beautiful as the night without the sun's stripes across the sky.

2.

All sides of your darkness dare me to jump into love,

Your side of darkness is tempting, tense, and thick,

There is a secret to the flickers that emit from you,

There is an opening in your dreamy dusk that lends to love a hand that lifts.

3.

A dark-skinned barbie breed to lose her loveliness,

The universe is at your feet if you only believe in you,

You can tread on stars, suns, moons, and the rainbow,

When the clouds get ominous and dark, you can sing your story with actions.

INTENTIONS

Published on: April 30, 2022 | Category: Poetry | Author: DECHOSEN1 | Likes: 1| Views: 175

When you came to me with your heart on your sleeve,

Your heart is purer than Joe-el's fortress of ices,

Your intentions are true without a speck of deceit,

Your heart aches for me in crystal-clear pulsations.

When you came to me with tongue twisted with words,

The moon is not lurking behind the curtains,

The clouds spread her curtains to shield you;

From the rays of suspicions protruding out of my eyes.

When you came to me with shadows of haunted hope,

I could not linger on the road of choices anymore,

I've waited on this alley from my mother's breasts,

Now that the grave is near, your intentions are distinct.

FLEETING CLOUDS

Published on: April 30, 2022 | Category: Poetry | Author: DECHOSEN1 | Likes: 1| Views: 180

These thoughts are gathered in morsels of clouds,

Thirsty thoughts sucking me dry with their antennas,

Puffy placid clouds suffocating my pleasures with pains.

Clawing at my frantic face with my fatigued fingers,

The air around blowing hot and cold all over my body,

My chest was heaving with frustration and fear at my fate.

When the sun spins the earth to gold with her fervor,

In between the blue sea turned to gold, I let go of it all,

My clouds of thoughts start to float away from my face.

The breeze starts to blow them all off in soft slivers,

Into the sky, they faded away without a trace on earth,

My clouds melted away when my hands finally caught the sun.
