The Traditional Chinese Character meaning Scholar
The Traditional Chinese character meaning scholar

Last time we went through a simple three-stroke Traditional Chinese character,  , which means mouth.

I will go through another simple three-stroke Traditional Chinese character, 士, which means scholar or soldier this time. This character has got multiple meanings and these two, which are quite different from each other, are more commonly encountered.

At a quick glance, it looks like another Traditional Chinese character, . However, they are slightly different. Once you know how to write it correctly, it can easily be told. Let’s do it now.

First stroke

It starts with a simple horizontal stroke. Just write from left to right as usual.

Second stroke

The second stroke is a basic vertical stroke running from top to bottom. Now, it looks like the Traditional Chinese character, .

Third stroke

Now we come to the third and last stroke and this is where the difference lies. It is a simple horizontal stroke which starts from the left. But make sure this is a shorter stroke. Unlike the character, , which has a upper short stroke, the Traditional Chinese character, 士 is just the other way round having an upper long horizontal stroke.

We now have the Traditional Chinese character, 士, completed.

This is it for now. I encourage you to keep practising before the next post comes soon. Enjoy writing.

Thanks for reading.

A dream with feet

A DREAM WITH FEET

Dreams are like seeds,

They are like seedlings,

Dreams are like a garden,

You have to plant them,

Then you nurse them,

You have to oversee them.

A dream is like a porsche car,

No one cares for its porscheness,

Nor its branding or its price tag,

All that matters is its motion,

Its ability to be roadworthy,

To make faraway a reality.

As long as "we can sleep"

Then, we can really "dream".

But as long as we sleep,

Then, we delay our dreams.

So while we pursue dreams "in sleep",

Let it be as a somnambulist will be.

So we walk, sleep and dream,

We dream, walk, achieve and dream.

For what is a dream that's only in sleep?

FROM THE WRITTER TO GRISELDA

While the turntable played......

a tune lyrically slayed

by a rythm, of a distant plague.

Which ignites the itch for expression.

Right in the middle of my quest.

I made a request.....

Of an audience; to the soul of which my heart is of obedience.

Spoke I these words,

sworn by a double edge sword;

Sweet heart.....

Take me away into the realms of thy stupendousness and sing that song of contradiction....

Sing that song again... and  sing it to me alone!

Lavish the luxury of thy burden's upon your wings, and then soar above the clouds while I clear  your doubt beyond the galaxy.

Your mistakes I cherish,

because of the rhythmical echoes

 of its aesthetical  intentions.

It massages the muscles of my emotions.

Then...... unlocks the possibilities of perfection.

And again I whisper these to the ear of the one am addicted to;

If love is boring, why not try caring?

If respect is slavery, why not believe in honour?

If trust is a fiction, why not give sacrifice a chance?

I will d-i-e tomorrow

I will d-i-e tomorrow!

By 2:00am, I will chug a bottle of Maltina. Maltina doesn't kill? I know!

But, I don't deserve dying in misery after all the hell I've endured on earth.

People say Sniper is effective, but it sounds like it's painful too.

It's a NO for me.

A card of sleeping pills will do.

I have already bought them over the counter from a sloppy nurse who clattered the prescriptions off like rap lyrics, instead of writing them down.

Good thing I don't need that, anyway.

My plan is to take the pills with a bottle of Maltina, so I can enjoy my favourite drink one last time before saying GOODBYE to this cruel world.

Then, I will throw on my blue pyjamas and recline on my bed so I can exit the world in a peaceful sleep.

My heartbeat would discontinue after an hour, and my spirit would be set free.

My only wish is that my ghost would stick around to watch how my Mum would take it all.

How she would drag me off the bed, and bathe me in olive oil.

Very dramatic woman!

Maybe I would regret my actions when she starts wailing, and wish I could console her. Then, I'll remember why I chose this path.

I hope I will find peace in death.

I hope that judgement and hell doesn't exist, or I'll be doomed.

I'm somewhere in the middle of good and bad. Not really an Angel, but not a demon as well.

Maybe I should say a short prayer of repentance before drinking to my death, so I can be sure of heaven.

Now, why do you want to know the motive behind my decision?

It's none of your business.

I know it won't hurt to share.

You won't even be able to inform my relations of my intentions early, and I'll still succeed.

But, most of you think my life is lovely and perfect. You won't comprehend my situation and probably mock me.

Also, I want my death to be bizarre. Would it not be fun to be the reason for the police force to work overtime?

Ohh! My lips just spread apart?

This is my first smile in five months.

I guess it's a good thing.

Well, I have to go now.

I want to cook and eat my favourite food - Rice and tomato sauce well garnished with lots of pepper, and Titus fish.

Ahh! That's the only thing I would miss, along with my Maltina.

Everything else SUCKS.

A final GOODBYE, with a deep breath.

The Three-stroke Traditional Chinese Character Meaning Mouth

Published on: September 13, 2023 | Category: Creative writing | Author: mm8787v5 | Likes: 0| Views: 125

Last time we went through a simple three-stroke Traditional Chinese character, 下 , which means down.

I will go through another simple three-stroke Traditional Chinese character, 口, which means mouth or opening this time.

By the look, it is a square which might lead us to think there are four strokes, two verticals and two horizontals. However, there are only three strokes. Why? Let’s get on to it now.

First stroke

It starts with a simple vertical stroke. Just write from top to bottom as usual.

Second stroke

The second stroke starts horizontally from left to right and then it “breaks” and drops from top to bottom. This is a new type of stroke and as you might have understood by now, this is the reason why the character, 口 has only three strokes.

Third stroke

Now we come to the third and last stroke. It is a simple horizontal stroke which starts from the left and ends at the right and completes the square.

Here we go the Traditional Chinese character, 口.

This is it for now. Remember to keep practising before the next post comes soon. Enjoy writing.
